Ordering a Yearbook
We will not be ordering any extra books again this year. While there may be a slight chance there are a few extra books due to over run at the time of printing please make sure you order as soon as possible to ensure the lowest price and that you will get your copy!!!
New this year there will be three levels of pricing for the 2022-2023 yearbook:
- From now until January 31st 2023 the base price of the book will be $55.00 will all extra options available.
- From February 1st 2023 until May 1st the base price will be $65.00 with all options available.
- From May 1st 2023 until the yearbook plant closes its order window the price of the book will be $75.00 with no extra options available.
The Waunakee Community School District is committed to ensuring that all students and families can participate in their school communities regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Financial assistance may be available to anyone needing looking to purchase a yearbook. Please contact Teri Reible at 608-849-2000 to learn more about the student financial assistance fund. If you need assistance in a language other than English, please call the district interpreter and translator at 608-849-2000 option 2.

Submitting Photos
How to submit Senior Photos/Baby Pictures/Candid/Action photos
E-share.com is a simple way for students, parents, teachers, coaches and others in the school community to upload pictures to a secure site for use in the yearbook. Just follow the link below to our yearbook company's website to upload your candid shots from all throughout the school year. Once you are registered it is very quick and easy to use the site. Not only will you be sharing your candid photos with the yearbook staff but other registered users from Waunakee will be able to see them as well! The more photos we receive the more complete our coverage will be. We will include photo credits for any submitted photo so here is your chance to leave your mark on this school year.
- Go to http://www.hjeshare.com
- Enter the school code - waunakee2022
- Enter some basic required contact information
- Upload your images by clicking on the browse button
- Find the location of your photos on your computer, select up to 10 photos and click ok.
- Once your images are uploaded you will be asked for information for each photo. At the minimum please enter in any names of the students pictured. You will need to enter at least one character in all three boxes to be able to submit them.
Whipurwauna Yearbook Resources for Seniors
Senior Picture Information
For the 2022-2023 Yearbook
Senior Mug shots will be due no later than Wednesday November 30th 2022 to ensure that we can finish the senior section on time. There will be no exceptions and this date will not be extended. Most photographers take 4-6 weeks to complete senior pictures so please plan accordingly. Seniors may use the school’s yearbook photographer or a professional photographer of their own choosing. Students will incur the cost of the portraits. Appropriate attire is required and the student’s face should be clearly visible. Senior portraits may not display anything that is inappropriate, of poor taste and must follow the school dress code. This includes, but is not limited to firearms, other weapons, drugs, tobacco or alcohol. Seniors who miss the deadline for submitting their senior portrait cannot expect to be included in the yearbook.

You or your photographer will need to submit a FULL COLOR digital image file with a resolution of 300 dpi VERTICALLY ORIENTED (think taller not wider). The digital file should be uploaded via this link: http://www.hjeshare.com. You will need to enter some basic information and the code waunakee2022. You will not receive a confirmation email from the eShare site if something is wrong eShare will tell you. Senior digital images can also be submitted on a disk/flash drive to the main office "attn: yearbook staff" - Please note that these items will not be returned. If your photographer would like more info on this have them contact Mr. Willauer directly. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE FILE IS NAMED WITH THE STUDENT’S LAST NAME THEN FIRST NAME. EX (SMITH_JOHN.JPG) WE WILL NOT BE COLLECTING PHOTOS VIA EMAIL AS THEY QUICKLY FILL UP OUR INBOX. ALL EMAILED PHOTOS WILL BE DELETED.

If you are not able to submit a digital file you must submit two wallet sized full color photos to the yearbook staff by dropping them off in person, in a sealed envelope with your full name on both the photos and the envelope to the main office. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR NAME IS ON BOTH THE PHOTOS AND THE ENVELOPE! Digital photos that are printed out on photo paper do not scan well and will not be accepted - we would like the original sized digital image. Please talk to your photographer and have that submitted using the directions above.

We will not be collecting photos for the Tribune again this year. Any student that wishes to be a part of the graduation insert must submit their photos to the Tribune office separately. Please contact them directly for their deadline date.

If you would like to still be in the Yearbook this year but do not want to go through a professional photographer other options do exist.

Twenty-four hour photographers offer a quality head shot for a minimal sitting fee with the option to purchase whatever sizes and quantities you may desire.

Also photos from major department store studios have been used as well.

You can use the school photographer, LifeTouch, for your senior portrait as well - students receive a free sitting at registration with no obligation to purchase. Just be sure that you let us know so that we may obtain a copy from them. Please remember that photos that are not of sufficient quality will not be included in the yearbook. The dates for Lifetouch photos have not been set but please let Mr. Willauer know if you plan to use this option.
Senior Profiles
Senior Profiles are an optional and additional section reserved for seniors.
Senior Profiles - What are these?
- Senior Profiles are an optional and additional section reserved for seniors. The senior profile is a combination of a supplied baby picture, nickname and quote.
- Seniors may choose to submit any or all of these items for this section but it is not required and is totally separate from the senior portrait. The cost for submitting these optional items and this additional space is 25.00 to cover the production cost incurred for the extra space/pages for this extra content. You only need to pay the 25.00 fee if you choose to submit items in the senior profile portion of the senior section.
- The baby picture/Senior profile section will be due no later than Wednesday November 30th 2022. Any pictures submitted after this date will not be guaranteed a place in the yearbook. A link to a google form will be emailed out to seniors via email multiple times between now and the deadline. We require a digital copy of your priceless baby photos which can be submitted on separate CD, flash drive, or uploaded using the same process as submitting your senior photo. You can find the directions below. Remember to make sure your file is named with a first name, last name and the words baby picture so we know who it is.
- If you do not have access to a scanner or would like the yearbook staff to scan your baby picture for you please sign up for contact time using the ZZZInnovation Center tag to secure a spot. Mr. Willauer will scan your photo during this time and make sure it is logged in the system. Students wishing to take advantage of this will need to start signing up the week of November 7th 2022 through the November 30th deadline. Students should bring in their photo on their scheduled contact time to help expedite this process.
- Mr. Willauer will start sharing a list of submitted senior items beginning November 1st so that seniors can make sure their items are submitted in a timely manner. Please be aware that he will be out of the building from October 20-October 26th 2022 and will have limited access to email. Directions for Submitting Senior Profiles
- Complete the senior profile google document that was sent to your school email. You must be logged into your school gmail to complete the survey. SENIOR PROFILE LINK

Upload your baby picture via the upload site (click on submitting general photos link). Remember to name your file with your first/last name and and baby picture so we know who you are and what it is! If you do not have a digital photo and need Mr. Willauer to scan it for you make sure to sign up for a contact time ZZZInnovation Center between November 8th and November 30th 2022 to have him scan it.

Make sure you submit your payment of 25.00 to the office in an envelope with your name on it. If you are paying with a check please make the check out to Waunakee High School. There will be a box in the office on Mrs. Harrison's desk for senior profile payment.
