1.    Ms. Schroeder, math teacher extraordinaire has earned the Presidential Award for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching in Wisconsin. This is an incredibly prestigious award. Please take a moment to congratulate her when you have an opportunity. She will be recognized at a later date in Washington D.C
.
2.    Students, as we approach semester testing, please remember per the student handbook you cannot use personal devices for testing. If you are using a personal device it's your responsibility to bring in your fully charged district Chromebook on all testing days. Testing days also include any in classroom tests where the lockdown browser is used throughout the school year. The Network Operation Center only has a limited number of loaner Chromebooks and you risk not having a Chromebook available to you if they run out. Again, if you use a personal device please remember it's your responsibility to bring your fully charged district Chromebook on all testing days.

3.    Letter Jacket Sizing/Orders Meeting Info
When:  January 29, 2025 at 9:40 AM during Contact Time
Where:  HS Athletic Office in the Main Office area
How to attend:  Students can sign up to attend by scheduling with Mr. Conrad's Contact Time in Flexi Sched
Further info will be available in the HS Athletic Office once received from our sales rep. A down payment when ordering is required, full payment required when the jacket is received.

4.    Join us in the PAC on Monday, January 27th at 7 pm for our 10th annual Choir Showcase!
You won't want to miss this evening featuring covers of songs by your favorite performers including Stone Temple Pilots, The Cranberries, Harry Styles, Lana Del Ray and so many more. 
Produced, arranged and performed by groups of choir students, there is something for everyone in this concert. 

Tickets are $5 and available via GOFAN on the District Performing Arts Page.
They are also available at the door with credit card, debit card, apple pay or google pay.

Placing 1 of 447 school districts to earn a spot on @CollegeBoard’s 8th Annual AP® District Honor Roll  for making access to & success in AP courses a priority. 

447 school districts across the U.S and Canada are recognized.

Waunakee Community High School was named a Blue Star School in Financial Literacy based upon the 80% passing rate on the W!SE Financial Literacy assessment given in the course, Dollars and Sense.

Alex Zimprich, Abi Schmeiser, Riley Collins,Alexis Anunson, Steve Frost, Sophie Liu, Theodore Liu, Moira Shrader, Danielle Amundsen, Colin Hensen, and Thomas Hughes are the only students in the history of Waunakee Community High School to achieve perfect scores on the ACT!

Alex Werndli achieved the first perfect SAT score of 2400 in the history of our school.

Congratulations to Thomas Hughes (2021) on being a National Merit Scholar Semi-Finalist.

Waunakee Community High School was named to the 6th Annual College Board AP Honor Roll.

The AP Honor Roll consists of the 425 school districts in the U.S. and Canada that simultaneously achieved increases in access to Advanced Placement® courses for a broader number of students and also maintained or improved the rate at which their AP students earned scores of 3 or higher on an AP Exam.

Students are required to purchase a Waunakee Community School District parking permit for the school year. This will be strictly enforced.

Students must have a parking permit to park in the student lots, and they may not park in staff parking (number spots) or visitor parking at any time.  Parking permits are available for all students to purchase at this time through the School Store in Infinite Campus.
