1.    Attention Seniors Participating in the Waunakee Scholarship Drive:  Reminder that the Scholarship Drive is TONIGHT, WED., APRIL 23 starting at 5:00 p.m. Be sure to have you or your partner pick up your Drive Night Envelope in the Main Office on Wednesday before you leave school for the day! The envelopes are here in numerical order. Know your number when you pick your envelope up.

2.    Attention all boys interested in participating in Boys’ Basketball next season:  there is an offseason informational meeting on Friday, April 25, at 7:15 am in the old auditorium.  Anyone with interest in playing should plan to attend. 

3.    The Adapted Sports League Whiffle Ball team has its home opener on Thursday, April 24th. The game will be held in the Old Gym at 5:30pm.

4.    April is Neurodiversity Awareness Month and Autism Awareness Month.

- About 50,000 individuals with autism spectrum disorder will exit high school each year in the United States. Many services required by law end abruptly after high school, leaving young adults under-supported. An IEP can be given to students with autism, and it can include accommodations like extra time for testing, a quiet place for testing, and alternative forms of communication and evaluation.

Placing 1 of 447 school districts to earn a spot on @CollegeBoard’s 8th Annual AP® District Honor Roll  for making access to & success in AP courses a priority. 

447 school districts across the U.S and Canada are recognized.

Waunakee Community High School was named a Blue Star School in Financial Literacy based upon the 80% passing rate on the W!SE Financial Literacy assessment given in the course, Dollars and Sense.

Alex Zimprich, Abi Schmeiser, Riley Collins,Alexis Anunson, Steve Frost, Sophie Liu, Theodore Liu, Moira Shrader, Danielle Amundsen, Colin Hensen, and Thomas Hughes are the only students in the history of Waunakee Community High School to achieve perfect scores on the ACT!

Alex Werndli achieved the first perfect SAT score of 2400 in the history of our school.

Congratulations to Thomas Hughes (2021) on being a National Merit Scholar Semi-Finalist.

Waunakee Community High School was named to the 6th Annual College Board AP Honor Roll.

The AP Honor Roll consists of the 425 school districts in the U.S. and Canada that simultaneously achieved increases in access to Advanced Placement® courses for a broader number of students and also maintained or improved the rate at which their AP students earned scores of 3 or higher on an AP Exam.

Students are required to purchase a Waunakee Community School District parking permit for the school year. This will be strictly enforced.

Students must have a parking permit to park in the student lots, and they may not park in staff parking (number spots) or visitor parking at any time.  Parking permits are available for all students to purchase at this time through the School Store in Infinite Campus.
